Great so yeah as mentioned things I would not leave behind would be
Good pliers
Jaw spreader
Leatherman
Filleting knife
Bug spray
Don't know what the bugs are like there but sometimes those tiny black flys that dive bomb your eyes can really be annoying I might suggest a insect hat.
Quantum Hot Sauce Grease
Sun screen
Camera

Have a great time ....look forward to the pics!!

Bring big white and glow color tube jigs with the 1-1/2 oz jig heads (Fishing Hole has them) for Lakers, jig them up as they should be in 60 to 90 FOW now (thats where they were at Cold Lake last weekend) Bring the beefheart too cause its light, compact and catches alot of fish, walleye love that stuff too when cut into strips and slow troll them on bottom bouncer smile blade rigs, you will slay them!

Jay your gonna have a blast. This photo of me and my bro is one of my favorites.

+25 the fishing slowed down a bit, plenty of beer and substance. Calm waters as far as the eye can see. And not another soul for 100's of miles. No cell phones, no Internet, no BS, well except for the campfire stories.

Fresh fish from hook to pan when ever you want, a true outdoorsman experience. If we could only leave the red headed step child behind.

8 more sleeps!!

I picked up the "small" bottle yesterday. It's only a 3 litre but it does have a light in it so it seconds as a flash light!

If someone already mentioned it, I missed it.

How about a magnetic compass to find your way back to the launch and a magnesium firestarter stick.

Compass if there are a lot of islands and firestarter if a storm happens and overnight on the shore or an island is needed.

May as well add a strong flashlight also.

Have a great trip!

alcohol - NO!! NOT the kind you drink!!
A bottle of rubbing alcohol in case you are making your own meals in a cabin with supplied utensils and plates, etc.
You can wash them all you want with soap and water after, but I have made a habit over the years of rinsing them down first with alcohol, save on toilet paper afterwards!!

McSweenys sweet and hot beef jerky, electrical/hockey tape, a small tube of crazy glue and extra shoe laces.

AND with the sale on now at TFH you can get an ugly stick for under $30.

The Zebco SpinCaster, complete with blue/green mono filament pre-loaded, for around $13 is a great addition to that set-up. lol.

It is amazing what you can do without. Liz and I just did a fly-in to Ryan Lake for 7 days (story to follow later) and we brought 193 lbs. of stuff for 7 days, food included. The couple we flew with to Loutit Lake with had at least 400 or 500 pounds of gear. It just depends on what you feel is necessary. One thing I would ensure you have is a filter or some way of purifying water, because anything liquid piles up the poundage very quickly and the last thing you want to do is spend your trip sitting in the outhouse.
Good luck and I can't wait to see the report and pics to follow.
Also, we like to fly with a full set of clothes on and hiking boots. It's hard to imagine what some of these people would look like if you ever had to put that plane down somewhere short of your destination dressed in shorts and flipflops.
Have a safe trip! GN.
P.S. The less gear you bring the happier your pilot will be helping to load and unload it.
Here's a picture of Liz with all of our gear except the camera I'm holding.

One more thing that I would suggest, is that however much stuff you bring, pack it up and have it ready to go when your pilot arrives to pick you up. Two years in a row we have arrived to pick people up to fly out that are fishing, and waited close to an hour both times while they packed their gear. Not the type of thing that makes the pilots happy, as your flight out is not the only thing these people have to do in their day. They fly the plane and will gladly help you load your gear on and off, but they are not there to help you pack or clean up. I have flown in 9 years in a row now, and the pilots (who have your lives in their hands) are VERY appreciative, the less stuff you have for them to fly and the less time they stand around waiting for you to be ready to go. Have a great trip !GN

Good call on the jerky!

The wall to wall sale is still on...maybe I can find a good deal on one of those sweet Zebco rigs!

Any other last minute ideas? We leave tomorrow!
