Default Fishing the Local Trout Ponds

So today I decided to head out really early in the morning hoping to catch the morning bite. I have been out on vacation for a lot of the summer and have been itching to go fishing since I've returned. So here's how the day went: Woke up at about 5am and started driving towards Muir Lake and arrived just as the sun was coming up. The fish were definitely active and I did get a few hits on a mepps spinner. Unfortunately I was restricted to fishing only the dock since I did not have my inflatable boat with me at the time. by 8am the action started to die down and I decided to change locations.

I quickly packed up and drove over to chickakoo lake and threw out more hardware. I managed hook into 5 but only landed 2 =( They would always lose the the spoon or spinner once they started jumping out of the water. I've said it before but i love how much fight even small trout put up. I stopped at around noon and went home but thoroughly enjoyed spending the morning fishing =)
