Default Golden Walleye Classic

I need info on this tournament, where is headquarters? and can anybody recommend a good hotel or accommodation close to headquarters, it's a nine hour drive, and I don't want to haul the train if I don't have to.
Also what are the boundaries for this tournament?

Any other info would be greatly appreciated , like secret locations, bait, and presentations

Tournament headquarters is at Shaw's Point Campground, near Grouard, and the boats all launch from there. Sorry, but I don't know of any hotels/motels in the area. (Might be something in High Prairie)

I believe there is a depth restriction for fishing in the tourney--can't remember if it's 16 or 18 feet.

Here is a link: http://www.goldenwalleyeclassic.com/information.htm

Just scroll down and it will have a pdf to download the rules of the tourney.

Default Golden Walleye

Have fished it three times even back to the 250 boat entries days.
You may have problems with getting accommodation at Shaws Point, ending up in Provincial Park known as Hilliards Bay. They have an orientation
meeting the night before usually, make sure about the RULES.
They usually have a good info site, that one link may get you most info
needed. Let me know if I can help in any way, a retired senior with time on
my hands. All Success.

Be sure to bring some good rain gear and gravel for nausea. It typically gets extremely rough and wet on tournament day's. The best fishing spots are in the lake.
