He starts the transfer by calling CFC. He needs his PAL and the registration for the gun plus your name and PAL number. He gets a reference number from the CFC which he gives to you. You call with the ref# and your PAL number and complete the transfer.

Maybe i am wrong but he starts transfer, you finish it. I did not think you even had to have his name if you are buying. He needs your PAL# but they have all the info from that. Can you not buy and sell without ever giving your name ? I have not given my name. People in Mirimichi confirm who it is.

I was wrong, person who initiates transfer needs name and Pal # from other party but the one completing transfer does not. Called the feds to confirm.

Actually either buyer r selleR can initiate the transfer first, with the required information that is needed. Once transfer is started a ref # will be given. whoever initiated the transfer first, must give the ref # to other person to finish and complete transfer

if u call the CFC line and get to the transfer line it will tell you all the required information needed before starting a transfer.
