Default New rifle on the way.

I ordered a Winchester 1892 today. It is a 32-20, 24" barrel, take down model made in Japan.

Sadly it has the tang safety and rebounding hammer. I'm learning slowly about these Miroku rifles. Some or all earlier Browning versions did not have the liability crap.

I'm researching how to deal with these features. The rebounding hammer fix has been found and I can live with the tang button. I prefer it to the cross bolt safeties on the newer Marlins. It does take something away from the rifles lines though. I've never done it but twice I've seen guys accidentally fire a Winchester when unloading.

The rifle will get a peep sight so I may try and hide the button cutout with a tang sight mount. Marbles does make a model of tang sight for the safety equipped 1892s.

+1 on that and few times more! Clay has made many things possible for the guys who want something unique or hard to find. We should all take up a collection to move him closer!
