Default Need Help Shipping Firearm to U.S.

I need to get a non-restricted rifle to a gunsmith in the U.S. for some work. U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms says I can ship it without any permits required, but I'm having trouble finding a carrier that is licensed, willing and knowledgeable about shipping/air transport. Apparently Canada Post can't do it. Any suggestions? I had originally intended to drive it down myself, as I have a temporary export permit, but that permit doesn't allow the firearm to be left behind in the U.S. when I return. Obviously that won't work, as the gunsmith will be working on it for many weeks. Any experience in this area? Thanks in advance.

Air Canada will ship it but it's expensive. That's the only option I could find when I shipped one a few months ago.

Not sure but it was around $300. You will need a temporary export permit from the Canadian side as well.

Last I checked, Canada didn't require an export permit if going to the U.S.

The U.S. side does though.

Why are you going to the US for the work, is it something that can't be done here in Ka-nadda?..I know that they have some Gun Guru's down there....but, I was just curious is all.
