Default 12/20 guage trap loads

Help

I'm trying to find a shotshell powder that i can load in both my 12 guage and 20 guage for trap

12 guage hulls are Federal and I'm using win 209 primers

20 guage hulls are winchester aa (yellow) and the same primers. Both wads are winchester (white)

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

It pretty much does'nt work that way.

The 20ga uses powders which are more suitable for 1-1/4 oz field loads in the 12 ga.

My 2 favorites right now are Clays for the 12ga, and 800x for the 20ga.

I have crossed over both 700X and longshot in my son's 12 and my 20's, but the longshot burns a bit dirty in lighter loads - shoots great however!

You can get it right here from Hogdgon's load data center!

Just a reminder to make sure your hulls are compatable with the AA wads!

Default Re-loading 12 and 20 ga.

Hi Folks;
I have re-loaded for many years but can no longer compete with the price the gun club charges for a flat of shells. How are you fellows doing it?

For 12 ga that's pretty much the scenario.
Decent 20ga ammo on the other hand is outrageous as far as factory stuff goes, so reloading the 20ga, is a bit more cost benificial.
