I was thinking of taking my dad out around the lac la biche area after Christmas for some hard water fishing, just wondering how the lakes faired with Winterkill this year. Was thinking about hitting up blackett and dabbs. Anyone been out there yet? How is the ice looking?
lakes look great. reports are also very positive. La Biche lake is good for pike and perch and walleye. can't keep damn near anything tho. But fun to release to live until they get caught in a net next week

Thanks guys Im gonna give it a shot and see what we come up with, even if we don't catch anything at least my dad can see the place again. It's probably been fifteen years since he's been out there, since before they turned it into a park at least. I'll see if he's still got the touch for catching some nice perch.
