Default 6 lbs reels

I noticed when I went to buy an ice fishing rod at calbelas that they all where 6 lbs test so these won't be good to catch walleye or pike so what rod and real do you use for these fish

I have 36” medium and medium heavy rods. I run 6lb test on the mediums and 8lb & 10lb test on the mh’s.

I just put whatever I want on the reel. Nobody tells me what too do.

But seriously I usually use braided line which is a thinner diameter per lb test. Line ratings are more about spool capacity and not whether or not the reel can handle it. Set the drag accordingly and you'll be fine.
