No balaclavas during winter in Quebec if you want to ride transit
http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/m...iqab-1.4356263
When my bus shows up late...I am frozen already and bus has no heat I am not taking off my warm clothes.
This law should fail.
If you take an oath or need to confirm who you are by facial recognition I see no issue with having to take it off.
But a bus ride. Silly.

You are moving to Quebec?
When's the last time you took a bus?
I have zero issue with someone having to show their face on public transit.

You can`t wear a hoody on the job site here even if the wind is howling and it`s -25. They say it restricts your vision. Then the safety dick gets back in his warm rig and watches to make sure you suffer.

This law is destined to lose a Charter Challenge in a slam dunk manner too.
Why do governments pass laws they know will lose a very expensive Charter Challenge What a complete waste of tax dollars.

Just to point out. It's a public system, that means it's as much yours as theirs.

Canada's Charter of rights and freedoms is part of the Constitution Act of 1982 - which Quebec never signed. They have their own Charter of Rights.

Really...so if you want to take a leak in the corner you think that is going to fly?
Just as with hospitals or any other 'public' space rules can be set and implemented.

You can wear an FR hardhat liner or FR balaclava. Works well for this safety dick.

Everyday. I am a transit commuting dude.
Hate commuter traffic
Also know some buses and trains some days have no heat. Coming from standing out in minus 35 than getting on a bus that is minus 25.
I am not taking my balaclava off. Never asked to. Never will. They can call the cops and watch their stupidity on the news.

Can you elaborate a bit more? If you're talking about Bill 101, and charter challenge from businesses on signage - specifically what did that have to do with Canada?

It's the French Language Charter and goes beyond signage laws to include education of new Quebec residents as well.
From Wiki
1984 the Supreme Court ruled it was a violation of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms to force children instructed in English elsewhere in Canada to be forced into French schools in Quebec. The court also ruled that same year Bill 101’s rejection of English storefront signage was a violation of freedom of speech.
Quebec has a provincial charter of rights, but that means all laws must meet the provincial charter and the federal charter.

My friend, I think you're confusing things a little bit.
If I had children, and we're all english speaking - I decide to move to Quebec. I do not lose the so called rights and freedoms offered under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms simply because I moved to Quebec. Bill 101 was designed to take away those Canadian rights - and make anglophones second class citizens.
Anyone that's born and raised in Quebec will likely be francophone anyway - with the choice to take on English or any other language as a second language. This has nothing to do with Quebec's charter of rights. I cannot lose my rights because i move to another province. If a francophone born and raised in Quebec moved to Alberta, and the province decided to force the children into a english speaking school - do you think Quebec's charter would triumph?

I have no idea what your point is.
You asked for a list of Federal Charter challenges Quebec was in, I gave you the most famous one.

I stood outside in -30 with a 30mph wind waiting for buses while going to school, and to work, so I know what it feels like, and I have no issue at all with this.

If people on the bus in Yellowknife can ride without having to wear a facemask on the bus at -45 I think people in Quebec will live if they have to take it off on a bus at -25.

Neither of those fully stop the wind from going down your neck. Hoodies work better. Lemme guess you like fecto goggles too?

How about guys with beards? People wearing makeup? These, too, interfere with facial recognition.
What next? Pants-too-baggy/skirt-too-short regulations?
It's a stupid law.
