I was thinking of getting a kayak to fish and just boat down rivers but for fish I would be on pcr and other windy lakes would a kayak be able to handle the winds and what kayak would be a good fit or should I get a 12 foot row boat with moater

Thanks for advice

I have fly fished from our kayak and find it very awkward. Just not a comfortable position to fish from. Just my opinion. Lots of guys like it.

I prefer to fish from a kayak than a boat. It offers more stealth and maneuverability, and it's less expensive and easy to transport. Once you get the hang of it it's quite easy to fly cast from a kayak and I've had trout take a dry fly 3 feet away from me. Fish treat it like it isn't even there.

Agree 100% and that said there are more and more kayaks out there everyday designed to stand in which makes the fly casting much easier.Check out these
