egg patterns! Tie up some leaches with bright colors like pink/purple/orange/red.
like TU said, another pattern that works well is zonkers in bright primary colors green, red, black, orange,yellow or florecent colors. back in the day we used wire leader crimps spaced out along the bottom 5ft of our leader to get the depth needed for steelhead. dont forget some honking big drys, big stones or or even hoppers to skate on the surface if fish are showing on the dry.
