Default Wabamun Update

Went out today on the north side, west of the plant ( Sailing club). 10-12" of ice with 8" of snow on top. Slow but steady for pike ( a fish every 30-45 min.). The largest was 36".

How deep were you fishing. Did you see any whites swim by?

Default Response to Q

No whites, about 6' deep.

Strangely I did see a number of perch ( 6-8").

Yeh, At the beginning of the ice-fishing season I usually see schools of 20-40 perch.
