I'm not at that end, but I've heard that some people are venturing out on quad.

I'm good to go for the third week up to Jousard, I'm planning on pulling my shack out on Gull on the 28th, if there is enough ice. Are there trucks out on the lake yet at Jousard?

Hey gramps73, it is called Faust Bay. Fawcett Bay is about 100km to the east on Fawcett Lake. To answer your question about the ice on Faust Bay , i havent been that way in a couple of weeks, so i would imagine it has changed since then. Someone on the forum should be able to give you a more recent report. From what i heard it was a bad freeze and there are lots of heaves and pressure ridges along the south shore line as well as some nasty flood water on top. Be careful if your driving on the lake as it is as brutal in the winter as it is in the summer with the 7 foot swells. Lake level is really low as well , dont know if it would have any effect on the freeze cycle of the lake but who knows? Anyways take care. Walleye King...............

i just talked to bernie's wife at ladyhawk cabins in jousard. she said there is about 30 shacks out and about 20 inches of ice. this is not to far from faust bay but i would check with the locals to see how the ice is. i went through the ice once between faust and driftpile when there was 3 feet of ice so im pretty careful on slave now.
