OMG TEAM. PLAY SOME DEFENCE!

not a good start. Fairly embarrassing.

Let’s go McDavid.

Indeed SD. They have to wake the heck up here and stay out of the box. Can't get any momentum this way

Nurse is supposed to be our top defenceman. Takes a stupid penalty and they score. Gezz.

Once again our goalie is getting shell shocked. 16 shots Canucks. 8 Oilers

A tainted first goal. Oh well. At least a goal.

Nuge.. another give away crap pass in the Oiler zone… luckily just a shot… not a goal.

Oilers playing like a bunch of nervous newbies.

Bruce Boudreau like a chameleon. When he becomes angry, turns pink. Should be coaching Calgary, we wouldn’t recognize him on the bench. 🦎🦎🦎

Right now Vancouver want the win more.

McDavid is skating but seems one or two strides in front of his teammates. Passes are going to no one.

Oilers seems to moving a half notch faster last few minutes.

Nuge.. bad penalty… that kills momentum

Dumb penalty Kane. Come on. Think defensive and not stupid penalty.

Already first in the pacific. That’s gotta be some kind of record. After only one game.
Is there anything this team can’t do? (Besides beat the avs?)

Big Win. Atmosphere in the building was great. The tribute to Ben before the game left a lump in my throat.

1 down, 81 to go.

Go Oil Go!

They could increase concession prices even higher.

That’s gotta be some amazing popcorn.

Well I was sitting there in the stands all Canucked up and chirping like a bird in spring

Then came the third period

The crowd around me found a new target

Was a blast and such a great atmosphere

Ohhh well next time

Canucks are rebuilding

Only takes about 10 years or so

It was an emotional time for sure!
Not a dry eye in the building.
A good win for Ben.

I dont know how anyone could support that highway robbery. I get it if you have your kid with you and he want some popcorn, wadya gonna do. Get the popcorn.

Many times since the new arena opened we smuggle in some Wendys from across the street. Last night we scarfed down a Baconator before we went in to the game. The Ice District is PACKED with food options, no need to be buying it from those crooks and get financially assaulted in the process.

Been to about 75 games in the new barn and have yet to spend one nickel at those rip-off concessions.

It was classy of Conner to jump right to Ben post game when asked about his hatty, as usual he deflected and gave credit elsewhere mentioning Ben.

Love or hate Conner, that guy is pure class.
