Default China opens Police Stations in Canada and the US

Well, this is interesting:

Quote:
China has opened dozens of “overseas police service stations” around the globe to monitor its citizens living abroad, including one location in New York City and three in Toronto.

“These operations eschew official bilateral police and judicial cooperation and violate the international rule of law, and may violate the territorial integrity in third countries involved in setting up a parallel policing mechanism using illegal methods,” reads a report by Safeguard Defenders, a human rights watchdog, released earlier this month.

The report, titled “110 Overseas: Chinese Transnational Policing Gone Wild,” details China’s extensive efforts to combat “fraud” by its citizens living overseas, in part by opening several police stations on five continents that have assisted Chinese authorities in “carrying out policing operations on foreign soil.”

I wonder how many Canadian laws these Chinese police violate, on a regular basis?

They've probably hacked most of our electronic systems, including the ones that involve national security and banking. It's OK, were just nice Canadians.

I heard this on Ganam's show on Ched last week, your right, not a peep. Why isn't PP all over this in the house of commons? I would like to hear Turds explanation. If true, deport them yesterday if they can't be charged and convicted for breaking any law that will stick.

As for the media, not surprised why it's not really out there.

When you can't repay your loans the creditor gets to call the shots. I'm sure they will get gentle with us

What good would it do to complain in parliament? It would likely just give the Chinese a warning to hide their actions better. Better to wait until PP is PM, then raid them suddenly , and deport them quickly.

You wanna know why?

We’re expected to be inclusive and accepting . If we’re not we’re considered white racist mis-guided exceptions etc etc. After all our PM has a great admiration for the Chinese government.

Apparently a conservative MP asked about it, but Liberal/NDP don't seem to care.

Commies love democrat/liberals. It's because they can manipulate them at will, with no ramifications.

Remember how fast the Iranians released the hostages after Reagan was elected????? Yeah. Within hours

This should come as no surprise. He told Canadians how much he admired China’s disctatorship. He is nothing short of pure evil. Our grandfathers would rightly call him an enemy of the state. And Easterners love him while he kneecaps the west. This is why I no longer consider myself Canadian. I’m Albertan with a strong affinity for like minded people across this country who also view Trudeau in the same light as I do.

But the crazy thing is, what does he actually do for the Atlantic provinces these days? The reality is, pretty much nothing, yet they still vote for him, it really makes no sense. Trudeau could put those Chinese police all over Atlantic Canada , and the people might complain, yet they would still vote for the government that put them there.

Nothing has changed since Confederation, except the Maritimes have joined the benefactors.

I wonder if these so called service stations might be protected under the FIPA Harper signed with China. If so, Polievre isn't going to touch this issue and bring it to the forefront when Canadians have forgotten about it. Liberals voted for it so they won't want to touch on this either.

The FIPA that Harper signed with China really put Canada in a poor position with China holding the cards with this agreement.

Default NGO - Safeguard Defenders

The story comes from the NGO Safeguard Defenders: https://safeguarddefenders.com/en/bl...d-and-belgrade

While I am not a China apologist, the slant that these are Police Stations is not credible. Maybe the reason that host nations are playing dumb is that these "service stations" are convincing alleged felons (China expats) to return home to China? The means by which they "convince" the expats to return to China may be immoral/unethical and possibly illegal.

Clearly the pair of you are so short-sighted you can't see past your own nose to read the newspaper or phone screen...

Nova Scotia is a Conservative province now... But hey, keep up the stereotype and paint us all with the same brush - if it makes you feel better.

You must be living in the 80's?
They are talking about the Federal election; NS voted 42.3% Liberal, 22.1% NDP, and 29.4% Consrvative in 2021. The Bluenosers and the rest of the Maritimers been loving on sparkle socks since 2015, and the Liberal Party in general since '93.
Here, this will help, pick any election year for a full breakdown:
https://thecanadaguide.com/data/federal-elections/

OT- I'm sure CSIS and the RCMP are OK with having CCP operatives working on Canuckistan soil; there is so much they can learn from them.

Sure, only problem is the Conservatives there are about as far left as you can get. You have 3 major left wing governments to vote for there, one happens to be called Conservative.

Save the smack the face smilies and your ignorant comments. What I have said is no stereotype, but in fact an overwhelming current and historical propensity to vote Liberal. This has nothing to do with provincial politics, and everything to do with federal. So take a moment to see past your own nose to read the newspaper or phone screen. What you will see is the following with a ten second google search...

NL & Lab - 7 seats - 6 Libs and 1 CPC

PEI - 4 seats - all Libs

NS - 11 seats - 8 Libs and 3 CPC

NB - 10 seats - 6 Libs and 4 CPC

Seems to me there are no stereotypes being put forth by either of the guys you called out.

Have a good day.

I know a few Albertans who came here from the east coast, they don’t talk politics when they visit with family back home, sounded like people vote Liberal because they always have and nothing will change their mind
