Talking Surveyors Lake (pics)

I tried Whiteswan out on saturday afternoon/sunday morning with no luck at all, no bites nothing. Still pretty new at this whole lake fishing thing. So then I went out to Surveyor's. Had a blast catchin bass - nothin huge but a good time nonetheless!

I love Bass!!

havent been there for a long time, glad to see the bass are still going string. some biggies in there but you have to go deep and good luck getting your lure through the zillion little guys. used to be some huge rainbows but they are likely all died off now. great pics

Thanks all!

Yeah that campground is awesome, doesn't seem like a whole ton of people fish it much. A few from shore but didn't see a lot. Ya Wayne it definitely seems like the small guys hammer the lure fast if it's not to big to fit in their mouth. I had to switch from the fly rod cuz I was catchin to many small guys. Bigger gear seems like it works better for the bigger ones. Something where the hook is huge and far near the front of the lure lol. Gotta love catching fish all day nonstop tho either way!

Thanks, might have to detour on the way back from Van Island later this month! Better yet, anyone know any good Bass lakes on Vancouver Island? Preferably around the Comox Valley.

Thumbs up

Looks like much more fun than getting skunked at Whiteswan!
