Default highwood

Hey folks I'm headed up the Highwood area and was wondering if there's much random camping along the river where it goes north in to K country?? I know there's lots south but not sure about the north leg....any insight would be greatly appreciated...

You sure? Highwood River? Random camping is permitted (with some restrictions) in the Kananaskis PLUZ and in Wildland Provincial Parks (e.g., Elbow-Sheep Wildland Provincial Park). That's a LOT of area in there.

I'm sure. You'll have to head south of Highwood House for any random camping.

I guess it depends on how close to the river you want to camp, eh? As long as you are 1 km from the highway in the PLUZ or E-SWPP, you are golden.
