remington
Remington has the R-15 which comes in varmin hunting calibers and the R-25 which comes in .243, 7mm-08 and .308 and of course the 597VTR in .22LR.
they are all autoloading, the larger calibers come in a four shot clip, but you should only need one in the field and more at the range. I cant think of any other rifle that is the legal size to hunt with, but Im sure there are others. By the way I know a few guys out there are against this style of rifle for hunting but times are changing now-a-days, IMO if you are a good shot with the rifle you are using and its a legal round for hunting go for it, personally Ill be using my sks for bush hunting deer this year. (I can hit the 200yrd 6" gong 7/10 times) Although I will only be using it up to 100-130 yards. I also know that some guys will grill me on that too but remember, the 7x39 has practically the same ballistics as a 30-30. which is almost the most popular hunting caliber of yesteryear.

AR style actions.
The powers that be figure everyone will then become possessed by the devil and make them fully automatic.
Or start "A Team" style vigilante gangs and help the downtrodden if not possessed by the devil.
Either scenario would be bad.

What makes an AR style action?? I have never talked to anyone about this, or anything of the sort. Im sorry for taking away from the OP but I think that this info will help. Im sure im neive but, How would something like the R-25's action be different from any other semi auto rifles??? They both hold a certain amount of rounds they are both semi auto, I am just lacking info and understandment. Like I said I know ill be nieve but a guy doesnt know untill someone sets him right. How would something like the 597VTR or the SR-22 for hunting upland game be different then the R-25 for big game???

cause their fun.
you can try a ruger mini 14 like i got for plinking/varmints/ or the m-14 original style that fires the 308 win round. their not restricted, the mini 14 also comes in the m43 (ak-47/30 cal round)cartridge so technically you could take it legally hunting big game, but would recomend only 200 yard shots up to. and deer only. nothing bigger.

I think I know where hes coming from, that style of rifle looks good. most bolt action rifles look the same, wood stock, synthetic stock its all the same just a different stamp on the barrel. Granted it would be no different then a rem model 750 only with an assault look to it. If im wrong please feel free to correct me, its the only way to be right.

I would embrace the idea of hunting with an AR type rifle. .223 would be a hoot shooting gophers and the .308 would also be a good big game rifle. Although they are not traditional, the AR platform would be great for hunting and there are other cartridge choices that could be used. Unfourtunately I'll probably never get the chance to try it. The "assault" part is just a stigma that should be forgotten about. As hunters, firearm owners and enthusiasts we should support all gun owners and disciplines for our allies are sometimes few and our enemys great.

exactly. good reply kimber.
sure a semi auto isnt the best for a novice hunter / shooter, but if we allow more fearful concerns about black guns , next generation will be scared about 4 shot magazine bolt actions and then it will be single shot only

Yes, with tapco t-6 adjustable stock and some other odds and ends, looks pretty assualt riflish to me, sks 180ish, stock 120ish, $300 assualt rifle, toss an extra $200 and you got assualt rifle and 1200 rounds for less than $500

Try the Keltec RFB. Unrestricted, quite accurate, legal for hunting (.308) and a hoot to shoot. Of course, the price range puts it out of contention for myself and probably most of us. Seems like someone had one in the buy/sell section a couple weeks ago.
