There is a lake called bowsheet! its on the "C" road north of wabasca and My guess is that you were on goosegrass I worked the oilpatch for 25 years myself and like you every chance i had when off shift I was punching holes in every potlake,lake,and slough to find them humpies! wabasca produces some nice jumbos aswell!
