Was at Slave Lake last weekend and caught a Goldeye in the lake, I was told they are very rare to catch in the lake, walleye fishing was slow but still good, walleye taste great. What a beautiful lake

Nice fish, what area of the lake were you fishing? I'll be at the south west end for a couple days in 2 weeks, can't wait to fry up a nice walleye shore lunch. If anyone familiar with the lake will be there around the 23rd I'd love to meet up and share fish stories.

i like the way they have rod holders welded right on to the railing where you caught that goldeye. is that by the boat launch?
