I'll assume you watched both the short and long videos... other than that:

- get there early. bite slows by mid-day
- try fishing anywhere from the bottom to 20ft below the ice. fish will suspend and I've caught them everywhere from top to bottom.

Everything else that I do is covered in the vids. If you have a tent and heater, take them. Spray can get really windy and often is.

Good luck!

Not very. Biggest I've caught is 19"...have heard of up to 5 lbs.

Was up there this morning; about 80-90 FoW. Wind was moderate. Several bites, only landed 2, and they were about 12-13 inches, so went back down the hole. A few others on (one felt quite a lot bigger), but I always have trouble keeping them on up there, for some reason (good to see 5weight has observed the same thing).

Ya this lake can be hit and miss at times. Was there yesterday. Arrived at 6, fished for 45 minutes at the secret spot in the pitch black and a headlamp while it snowed and whited out the entire landscape, it was spooky but nice. Bite was unusually slow but managed to hook about a dozen, lots of the standard lakers and then lost a real nice one, certainly over 4 pounds.. Sucker took lots of line, was really heavy and had some nice headshakes. Im telling you people, use herring. Dont salt it, as fish will not hold on as long. Leave it on the bottom. i always jig one rod and have a huge herring on the bottom on the other rod. Heres what i got last march there:

If anyone wants info on where i caught this nice one, id say an easy 15 pounds,id swap info for cold lake hotspots or just general reliable areas on that lake that hold big lakers. Nice video btw, great attitude and nice vid making. cheers!

"Well, I did my best Bob Izumi imitation"

For some reason you reminded me more of Don Lamont...

Anyways, I enjoyed the videos, very well done.
