Default Help and Tips for River angling

Hello forum, although I am a rather new and inexperienced angler, 7 years or so, I have caught everything from walleyes, to chinook and coho salmon on the west coast. However I seem to be either too inexperienced or just plain bad luck when it comes to fishing on anything remotely resembling a stream. I am ashamed to say I have never caught a single fish in a river. So forum, I would like every single tips and trick that you old veterans have to give me. I am listening. I am not asking you to reveal your secret fishing hole, I just need someone to help break the curse of the current, so I to can hook onto some pretty trout this summer.

You can find hours of reading about every river within 2hrs of you by using the search function.

Or just browse recent threads as this issue is covered all the time.

If you have some specific questions, ask away...

Use google to find out how to read a river and identify fish holding areas.

Well if you don't mind a small hike. I would recommend Glen Bow Ranch.
Park and walk your way to the river. Mind you it is 3KM walk down hill.

Use big rapalas and you will catch lake trout and big browns and healthy rainbows.
