Default Peace Canyon Dam

Wondering if anyone has fished the tailwaters of the Peace Canyon Dam on the Peace River, downstream of HWY 29 in BC, and if it is worth going this time of year. I have never been there! Hoping for information on fish-ability more so than actual success. Are there ice shelves this time of year, is that particular dam unreliable in terms of discharge times? I will appreciate any information.

I fish the Peace all the way from Hwy 29 bridge to (near) Taylor - summer though - haven't fished it this time of year. Finding access points is the problem. Decent bows/grayling/whites/bulls make a great evening of fishing. Right at Hwy 29 bridge there is a trail to the river and parking spot that would get you started. Also not sure if it's open this time of year so I'd be checkin' the regs.
Good luck

We still have 2.5-3.5' of snow here, so access will be a problem for anything not south facing.

Fishing will be slow as the water temps will still be cold and the fish will not be much for activity.

Cheers
