Default Edmonton sets new record for number of days below 0

167 consecutive days where the temperature dipped below zero during any 24 hour stretch. Beat the last record lset in 1975.

Yep, she’s been a long one.

Last night in Calgary I was out for a service call and the ice build up on the roads was pretty nasty, despite new studded winter tires I was sliding in some corners. I know how bad that would be for those without such tires, I postponed my trip up to Edmonton due to the conditions I saw last night.

It would have been way colder on all those days if not for our trucks and SUVs.

Only unlike being the murder capital of Canada, or the photo radar champions, this title was beyond the control of the city.

Sounds like a winter to forget.
Glad I’ve been in Aus for the past 250 days.

It's not global warming anymore, don'tchaknow? It's climate change. That way, whichever way the climate goes, it can be blamed on fossil fuel burning, something you can TAX.

We were all lied to and cheated into paying for this “carbon tax”, revenue from it all being dumped into general coffers...with little to none going towards what it was supposed to.

How this is not deemed fraud is a perplexing question...

Guys. We’re going to use the carbon tax revenue to buy ourselves a pipeline!

They had a plan all along!
