Default RV Mattress.

We have an old coil springs mattress in our rv with a memory foam topper on it.
The old mattress is from1993 and heavy.
Been thinking of replacing it with a 8” bed in a box memory foam type mattress,
Our rv has the corner bed so a corner has to be cut off.
Been looking at Endy, and other brands , but for the few weeks a year that we camp I don’t want to pay $500 .
Any one bought an affordable bed in a box lately ? That is comfortable?

Just bought a queen size 8” Comfort Tech from Costco last week on line for $299. It’s great, especially when compared to the pos that came in my trailer. Reviews were all good as well. The thing has a zip off cover, so I think it would be easy to cut off a corner of the foam. We have been using it for five nights now and love it.

Need to get airflow under the mattress or insulate the underneath of the bed to prevent vapour build up from temperature differentials.
Can air out the mattress as well every few days and store it with air able to flow around it, like on end.
I use those foam mats that puzzle together on the bed base for insulation and an airflow underlay on top of the foam that the mattress rests on. I used to pull the mattress outside to air in the sun every few days but find the foam and underlay does the trick though still put the mattress on end while parked and not in use.
The underlay I use is DekProTek which is a drainage pad for plants but there are products made specifically for RVs but I'm a cheap Scot.

Airflow is the name of the game, solar fans are great for assisting in air movement inside the unit as well, happy camping!

We bought one from Amazon last year, we both find it to be too soft for us. Not really surprised since we do like a firm mattress. Price was cheap so we thought we'd give it a try.

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm looking to get rid of it if someone in Lethbridge is interested, it's like new.

Just replaced it with a coil spring from Sleep Country, they had one in the shop in Red Deer that someone had ordered and backed out on, got it for around $550. Hoping for a better result.
