Default Seibert lake

Hello, I’m just wondering if anyone has any info on the road into seibert? We’re heading up there soon and I’m just curious if the rain has caused any damage to the road? Also, any fishing updates would be appreciated, thx!

Road was fine earlier around July 1, when there had been more rain. Fine if you have an suv or truck, not great for cars. Fishing was great in front of the southeast bay under clouds in the morning. As a rookie fisherman, I caught 3 pike and 3 nice walleye in an hour. Trolling in the tall weeds or weed edges or the drop off by shore. Yellow spinnerbait, didn't even use a soft plastic which always helps. Too bad you can't keep any there.

What’s the quality of the fish like there? What’s the size range for length?

We were there last year for a week and there were a tonne of walleye. I started off with a big chartreuse shad swim bait trying to target the pike and for the most part stuck with it for the whole trip. I was a bit surprised as walleye of all size classes were hitting it, and aggressively. We mostly caught walleye but I did manage to get into a couple pike in the 43-44" range back to back and my boy lost a gooder to the following morning. Over the whole trip though we maybe caught 5 or so pike and the rest were walleye to numerous to count. It seemed like another one of them "walleyed' lakes.

The big pike we hooked were right off the last point on the west side before heading into the narrows and the far northwest part of the lake. Pretty good beach there not hard to spot.

Anyone know if you can still get into the Campground now that its closed for the season?
Spoke to the Lakeland District Office but all they could tell me was it was closed early due to COVID and cleaning concerns.
I don't need services but still want to go after fall walleyes.

I was there for a few days the end of last week. No barriers or such. the only change from normal was no cut wood supply. We just scrounged from some leftovers in vacant sites and deadfall from the bush.
