Default Burntstick conditions

Headed out to Burtstick with the kids for the weekend and looking for any info on water quality and fishing? I have never been there before and would appreciate any tips or suggestions. thanks

Default burnstick

you will find perch in shallow amongst weed clumps,sight fish them.not many big ones but fun for the kids.try early morning trolling close to the weedy island in middle of the lake for pike and walleye.

Thanks, does anyone know what the water is like, does it get scummy like pigeon?

Not usually. Tiny lime tube baits work great for perch set 4'under a bobber in the shallows.

Default Burntstick Lake

If you want some Pike action drop and jig a 3/8 oz jig with a 3" yellow or yellow and red twin tail down between the lily pads in 12' and hang on. Make sure you use a leader.

This should keep you and the kids busy.
