Question Zero mark on scope turret?

O.K. wf's new rifle is on the dot! We would like to move the disks on the turret to a zero point. I can't see any zero mark. Is there a generally accepted way to do this. I'm about to nick the rim with a hack saw, but I'll await the advice.

Thanks.

Smile Thanks lefty

It is a weaver. You can loosen the 2 screws on the disk and rotate the disk without changing the cross hairs. The problem I have is if I move them when I change ammo or "zero" how do I get them back to the same spot? Does that make sense? There is no mark on the turret rim.

Just put a small mark with a file then for a zero

Smile Thanks guys

One does wonder however why doesn't the manufacturer put a "small mark" on the rim.

I've got a small hack saw that will do the trick.
