Guys are driving on Badger...NOT ME....yet.

Definitely not promoting it but people make their own decisions. And just because you're following someones elses tracks doesn't mean you're safe as you will see in other posts where trucks went through.

Best to walk out and drill some test holes first and then consider that somewhere on the lake there's going to be thin spots and weak spots at this time of year.

General rule is 12" - 15" so if you find 12" you have to assume there's spots 8-10" somewhere out there with soft ice. 15" makes me a little more comfortable.

My opinion not directed at you or anyone in particular. But it's hard to just say "driving on Badger" and leave it at that and watch someone go through. Be safe.

Saw one on St. Mary's Reservoir this morning close to the campground. The other fishermen had left their vehicles on shore.
