Hey guys/gals, just looking for some inexpensive ideas you have to make the little misses feel extra special. I'm not the most thoughful type of guy, so anything will help.

We are heading up to Banff Hot Springs today.
7.30 admission = 14.60 plus 2 locker rentals = 2.00 = 16.60
Park admission = 20.00
Gas = 30.00
Taking a picnic for lunch
Total = 67.00 not to bad.

Strategically drizzle chocolate syrup on yourself and give her a treat. Note the strategy part of that. Putting it on your hind end may inspire tears of disgust, as she may think you are asking her to be your nurse.

I can tell you that watching the game on tv during any interaction with her is a bad idea! Cook dinner, flowers from Costco are sufficient (they all die in a week or less anyway) and candlelight. From there it is all up to you!

How about a night at the reloading bench working up some special loads?
Maybe re-create the scene from ghost. She could be Demi, you Patrick
Get all messed up with some clay?

LOL some of these are funny. depending how long youve been together and whether or not this is plausible for your lifestyle (not that its much) but grab a beta fish or some other type, set it all up in a nice (affordable) tank, with a card and some flowers or chocolates and when she asks WTH is the reason for this just tell her shes the only fish in the sea for you.(WARNING: THIS MAY BE EXTREMELY CHEASY) lol but sure got me some serious action for a while when i first got together with my wife..

Get her bottle of "Chez Magnifique" luxury dish soap.
Mine likes gift cards to her favorite hair salon or bra store, but spending a day or evening out somewhere fun or fancy is always good too. Concert tickets (admittedly might not fall under 'inexpensive'), a fun event, comedy club, etc.

Write her a love note, set the table, cook her a fabulous meal. Dress her and yourself up. If you have kids get them to serve the meal, if not you serve it. Read her the love note and enjoy super, leisurely. Then send her off for a bath or shower, you do dishes and join her in the boudoir for a little together time. Home Run!!

My idea is cheap $$ wise but takes some time. First if you are handy at making things out of wood and there is something she likes that you can make - make that - if she likes wooden boxes (not large ones just what not boxes I would go there), write her a nice letter from you to her and give her your feelings for her. What drew you together that still holds you together.
My other idea is take an empty jar and compose 31 different things you like/love about her; wish and hope for the two of you or even cute sayings or romantic one liners but not what someone else suggests what is in your heart. Write or Type them up. Cut them in strips and roll each one up, secure it with a tiny rubber band (check hair aisle for children for these) or a small piece of thin ribbon (red satin would be nice - you can get it at Michael's by the roll or most craft or fabric places.
Number each scroll 1 through 31, put them all in the jar and either decorate the jar with a photo of the two of you on one side or glue her favorite candies to the outside or just write her a nice letter and wrap that around the jar explaining how she needs to read them in order. This can as inexpensive as you want it to be but still be treasured because of your time which you will have to spend to fix it up right but trust me you will be gold for a longgggggggggg time to come and her girlfriend's hubbies or boyfriends will have to go a longgggggggg way to top your gift because you gave of yourself.

Valentine's Day? I would be very happy with "Happy Valentine's Day baby, I love you"!
But that's me and I'm pretty easy to please...

I really like batwoman's idea. It's simple but us ladies are suckers for a man telling us how much he loves us so she would love that gift.
Trying to think of what my favorite gifts have been over the years. Number one gift was a simple love letter but it was special because he was the strong, silent type who would pretty much rather eat his own underwear than write a letter. It wasn't really even a letter. Just a numbered list of all the things he liked about me. I loved it so much I carried it in my pocket every day for almost a year.

Valentines
I think a truck with a bench seat, some good tunes and a six pack of beer is hard to beat, surprisingly my wife likes the idea too.

One year I took a smarties box and pryed it open with an exacto knife (so it could be closed again) and went to the mall candy booth and asked the lady there if she could just pick out the red ones for me. I emptied the old contents and added all red ones and re-sealed the box with glue. It was a simple but kind gesture. When given to the love of my life, she said "Didnt you know I liked the brown ones best?".........but she never forgot the gesture and the story lives on in infamy.

YES, that letter meant a lot cause it came from the heart. Thanks for that suggestion to the fellows.
