Wow what a treat this would be .. The Old Man and the Sea ..wonder if they got it into the boat ... i wish ..... its on my bucket list!!!! how about yours

That's a stonker all right.
Looks like a cracker of a day to be out there too, not often you get out in black marlin grounds on flat seas like that.

Last time we fished Acapulco and caught a pair of 140lb sails, a boat came in with a 670lb black marlin. Talked to the fellow who caught it ( dentist from Vancouver), said they hooked it at 7:30 am and chased it around until it was along side the boat at 3 pm. The guy stated that he had never hooked anything bigger than a salmon before that. He said it was like putting a noose around a bull moose and hanging on for dear life.
