Default N ON man given lifetime hunting ban

Kind of odd why a man would have 91 grouse in his possession. Compulsion, fixation, whatever, it's wrong but I find it odd from a reasoning perspective. Maybe he should be given free grouse.........it's only fair

I suspect more than a few freezers have over the possession limits of birds in them.

The town in northern B.C. I lived in was full of poachers. A large portion had the mentality there is no limit on fish or small game and as long as you didn’t exceed your yearly bag limit on big game the rest of the rules didn’t apply

It seems in some communities have a larger population of people poor ethics regarding fish/wildlife because it gets passed down through generations

Some people are just greedy and don’t think about others or the future fish/game numbers

It’s the entitlement mentality

“I’ve always hunted here….”
“My family was here….”
“I live here so…”
“I was hunting before those rules so…”

Entitlement is certainly not the exclusive purview of urban millennials.

Glad he got what he deserved, on paper at least. Doubt it will stop him unless the judge imposed jail time for further offenses.

Appropriate sentence for what he did. Some people are just greedy, and don't care about game management, it was common to see a couple of adults taking three or four children to the local lake when ice fishing for trout, and while the children played on the ice, the adults caught and kept limits for the children, who never fished at all. When the limit was 10 per person, those greedy pigs took home limits of 50-60 fish, every day they were out.

Kinda of wonder why the guy who placed lead weight in a fish to win a derby did not get the same treatment .

He wasn't poaching, so he wasn't punished for wildlife offences. He was charged with fraud, so a criminal act.
