Found my first moose for the year on Saturday. Deep snow in the willows though, can't wait for the snow to melt to find more.
I went and checked my trail cam well I was out. Had a picture of a buck with only one antler. Nine minutes later he showed up with no antlers. I followed his tracks and found it not 80 yards from the camera. Way to cool, never had it happen like that before. That makes 11 WT and one moose so far.

Default No sheds but this

Found this poor fellow when out looking on Sunday. Shame as he was a beauty, 165 gross would be a very close Guess.

Hard to tell. All that was left was the head and spinal cord. Did not see much sign around of yotes though.

Found one fresh 6 point elk shed last weekend. Two bulls in the herd of 17 had dropped already. I thought it was early.

now that is an incredible find. what is the legal policy in alberta regarging finding deadheads?

in SK I would be required to declare the head to CO's within a week and apply for a permit to retain and mount the anters. once the permithas been issued the antlers cannot be sold. non-residents are not permitted to pick any antlers with skull attached.

Need to obtain a found dead permit, by bringing the found dead to a F&W office and filling out an information form, and paying $10.

Nice sheds! Didn't think you were allowed to take sheds out of the Eco reserve

I went back out to the location i found this guy and brought a tape with me this time. I rough measured him at 163 4/8 gross 160 6/8 Net

letting this dry out then might get the permits to bring it home.

Yes, people are allowed to take sheds out...but motorized vehicles are NOT allowed. Any possible way in has signs that say so, they just tend to be ignored.

I called in last year and after getting the run around for 45 minutes I was told that absolutely nothing can be taken from an ecological reserve. Has that recently changed or was the person I spoke with clueless?
