Hoyt Vector 32. Ive bounced back and forth between Hoyt and Mathews, the helium was so smooth but I decided to go with the Vector. So far its treating me well! Very well!

I started in 1999 with an old "then" PSE Thunderflite. I moved over to Bowtech in 2003 and am shooting my second bow made by them. First bowtech saw plainly so many arrows all parts had basically been replaced and was pretty well rebuilt twice. She grenaded a bottom limb on me 3 days before the 2010 bow opener and I found myself in CAC with no time to play with. Almost bought an Elite, sure loved the bow, but ended up going the Destroyer route. 2nd Bowtech and Im super happy with them. The destroyer 2 days later went on to an opening day P&Y antelope at 55 yds, and less than a week later a sloth of an old velvet mule deer on the downhill slide we knew as "Coat Hooks" on a nasty stalk and down hill 8 yd shot.
After all those years spent shooting my first Bowtech, they sent up a new pair of limbs warranty for the old girl. Threw another set of cables and string on her, was getting about due again, and she is back in business running backup. Pretty happy with them and thier product. I dont think it matters which company a guy goes with, spend any time running it in the field and it will be good to you.

Mathews drenalin... Great bow , i have shot a apa there nice , but i didnt find a difference between the apa and my drenalin, these athens bows seem pretty interesting! Might have to give one of them a whirl in a year or two!

I love my PSE but have come close to picking up a Hoyt and Matthews as well. But I think my bow is super quiet, fast and comfortable, so why change it up?

Just out of curiousity, but have you shot ALL of the rest?

I shot a bunch at a couple of stores and settled on the Quest Primal, just fit me best and felt best of those that I shot. Wasn't the MOST expensive of the bows I shot but was getting up there.

I shoot bowtech cause they have what i want in a bow and they are tough. i have own three of them wicked bows. i have also own mathews loved too. the only reason i have sold my bows is i sold them cheap to good friends that want to start archery hunting and needed equipment so i offer mine up and upgrade. sitting with an invasion cxp now it will be hard pressed for me to give it up now lol

I shoot Hoyt, but not because I'm the best! Just because I finally saved enough money to afford one! I have the 2011 CRX! It's a sweet shooting bow! Very smooth! Only complaint I have is that the finish seems a little un refined! But the looks aren't as important as performance! Good luck with your selection!

I shot a pse gamesport nova for about 14 years until I finally decided to pry my wallet open and get a new bow.
After trying quite a few different bows at CAC I finally settled on the hoyt crx 32 because it felt the best to me. And they threw in a free hat

Elite Pure, 30" , 68lbs,432 grains,290fps. Smooth as butter to draw and a rock solid wall. Oh and the best warranty in the business.

I shoot a Bear Montana Longbow (55lbs @28") in the early season. Once the cooler weather hits and I have to wear more clothes I go back to my Hoyt Maxxis 35 which is set at 66lbs for a 31" draw.

I harvest animals every year with both these setups. They fit me extremely well and I practice constantly so I'm never out of shooting shape.

My advice is try every bow you can that is in your price range. Buy the one the fits your body the best and feels the most comfortable. If you like shooting it and it feels right you will shoot it often and become proficient at it.

Regards,

Bowtech Tomkat. 1st bow. Shot a few bows before deciding on it. Felt good. Price was good. 5th season with it and love it.

I'm a Wild TV addict and was thinking about upgrading to another bow due to all the advertising on there about archery, but I'm the kind of guy that once I find something that works, I stick with it. I have been using a fly reel I purchased from Canadian Tire when I was 14. 26 years of use and abuse and still workin' like new. Hahaha!!!

2011 Matthews z7 extreme tactical edition. Fell in love with the feel of the bow. Gave me alot of confidence in the feild after target practice. With my old bow I only had the confidence up to 35 yards with the my new Matthews I've been confident up to 60 yards.

I shoot a PSE Vendetta XL. I shoot it because it was one of the few bows around that I could buy with a 32 inch draw (I'm 6'4) that didn't break the bank. It is VERY accurate, but jumps around a little. I have to wear a glove on my hand that holds the bow because it irritates the base of my thumb

I shoot a bowtech and a hoyt (yes at the same time). They are both good. For me, I would buy what felt right and buy it from a archery lane that had enough time and pateince to set you up properly. The bow set up, to me, is more important than the brand name attached to it.

Bought my first bow at Huntfest last year at the APA Booth. Got the Pit Viper. Now I can't really compare but the guys were so helpful and friendly and EVERYBODY that sees my bow love it at first draw!! Plus we drive through Biggar a few times a year.

I shoot a Hoyt Ultramag. Bow is a 2004 bow bought new. I choose this bow for brace height the grip and feel as well as the cost. As I figured a 1200 dollar bow is not going to make me shoot 1200 dollars better

I just ordered my first bow. An APA Viper V7.

I spent a whole afternoon at the Calgary Archery Center with Rod shooting various bows.

The two that felt the best to me were the APA and the Bowtech. The APA is Canadian made and it's thin grip just felt better in my hands thant he bigger rubber bowtech one.

I would have liked to try a Mathews but Calgary Archery Center doesnt carry them.

Decided to go with a single cam bow (viper) instead of the dual cam Mamba since I'm just new to bows.

I ordered a QAD Ultrarest HDX and Spothogg Hunter 5 pin sight. Still trying decide which release to get. Probably a TRU Ball Assassin

I shoot the bow tech flatliner because it feels good, light ,quiet, and is a shorter length bow that allows my to stalk more easily. I do not use tree stands so this is the perfect bow for me. I prefer the spot and stalk.
