Default Film festival

Last night was fun. I really enjoyed the Sheefish and the Lars New Zealand one.

The way they setup those brown trout takes and then the sheer size of them compared to his small net just made your jaw drop.

I also liked how they built up the anticipation to the sheefish. I had never even heard of them before so I had no idea what the "whitefish" was going to look like. It was definitely cool seeing a brand new fish that was so aerial. It is the tarpon of the north.

Damn, I wish I could have made it to that last night. Stupid work.

Does anyone know if there is another way to watch the videos? Renting online or something, buying them somewhere? Will there be copies at their both at the fly fishing expo?

Saw some of the previews on the IF4 website, they looked like amazing videos.

yeah, most of the videos were long promos to get you to buy the video. They gave websites to go to but I don't have them on me. They are probably in the the Fly fusion magazine that they gave out there. I will take a look when I get back home unless someone else has it handy.

For those that attended, what videos did you vote for?

The film fest seemed like just a long fly fishing commercial. I enjoyed the Sheefish and the New Zealand films, but everything just seemed like a promotional/advertisement. The previous 2 film festivals I went to were way better in my opinion.

I agree, it did seem like watching a bunch of long commercials but I still had fun. My buddy also said that it didn't used to be that way. It seemed like the only one that wasn't a preview was the Sheefish one.
