I will be there! Looking forward to it....hopefully some of the folks from the forum who are tricking out their hunting bows can make it out!

Known yardages and a fun shoot, anyone who hunts with a bow should really consider making it out!

I would love to be there. But thats the day im getting a ball and chain permanently installed on my ankle. And then her birthday is sept 1st. So that always rules out wainwright bird hunt almost every year.

Any others coming up in sept?? Looking forward to spending many nights at that range before end of september.

No, open to all I am quite sure. Hunting bow setup only...(field tips and no crossbows)...range finders allowed. A bunch of fun and prizes to be had if this is like other Parkland shoots it will be a good one.

I think single pin would be allowed if they had no scope (lens), short stabilizer, no v-bar, arrows with screw in tips. Timid a hunter shoot so it should be the bow you hunt with....usually if you bring a target bow then you are not eligible for prizes based on score (can enter raffles) but you can shoot for fun.

Hopefully someone from Parkland who is running it will chime in.

As far as different classes it would likely go by age/sex as per usual.

All are welcome to these shoots...just come and have fun with other folks who share a love of the outdoors and archery!

No classes and while scores are kept it is all about fun and getting together befor hunting season to shoot some arrows, swap some stories, socialise and is all about the FUN.

This is the best type of shoot for new shooters as it is not a tournament/competition it is all about the fun....

Not sure Mike but usually these shoots run $50-60, lunch is included in the price too if I am not mistaken.

sounds like a lot of fun. If I wasn't at a family reunion that weekend I would have loved to go. Would have been a perfect oppurtunity to try shooting at some targets more then 20 yds away. Hope it's a nice sunny day for everyone.

You will have fun, the archery community in this area is outstanding...everyone is very helpful and welcoming. Without new people coming to the sport we don't have a future. Shots will likely be from 4-55 yards, bonus is this is a rangefinder shoot so you will know the distance. Bring binos too if your rangefinder isn't incorporated into binos.

There is a "shoot for the tube" one arrow, $10....to win a brand new side by side Ranger too! Literally anyone can win that.

Close...it was actually about a 1/2 inch diameter tube in a target. The distance was further than 50 yards....someone came very close to doing it, and it can be done

Think I might have a better chance at a hole in one golf ( I don't golf). Looks like fun though. Anything for being the closest? Anything for hitting the bear in the noggin?

Went out there last night. They only had about 10 of the animal targets set up throughout the range. Glen said they bought 68 new ones. So hopefully they will be setting them up. I imagine with a shoot coming up they will.
