Does a light slash always mean cutbow? I have caught a lot of rainbows in sask with a similar light slash. Always assumed it is just a variance in coloration.

Cutthroat are only identified by the teeth in the throat. Alberta stocked rainbows are not hybrids and have no connection to cutthroat genes whatsoever.

I was duped before too, almost every rainbow I caught for a period of time in central Alberta had slashes under their throat.

Nice fish.
