Default Tumbling brass and jewelers rougue

Just wondering if other people clean their shells after tumbling with media and rougue? I usually just wipe off the outside of the brass so my fingers don't turn red when loading. Naturally I make sure the primer pocket and flash holes are clear before I prime them.

Do other people clean them inside?

Default cleaning brass

I blow each one out with compressed air. I clean before resizing and then again after trimming.

i use a little bent brush to wipe out the brass just to make sure theres nothing in it. a quick poke in the flashole with the square end of a 9/64(?)" drillbit, and its on to the next stage.
i dont really know if tumbling helps, its really more about consistancy and repetition. there is no such thing as 'too clean'

I make sure there's no walnut media in them but the rougue definitely sticks to the inside of the shell pretty good. The only way to get all the rougue out would be to put them through the ultrasonic again.

Just wondered what other people did. Thanks for the feedback.

I don't dry-tumble any more, but used to give the brass a wash in hot soapy water to get the rouge (and any media) out.....then blow-dry.

Default Ultrasonic

I use an Ultrasonic cleaner and the Hornady case cleaning solution. It does an amazing job. Cleans the primer pockets too.
