Looks like you don't know how to handle fish. You must have had them in the cold too long. Looks like you froze their eyes.

Soon, soon... I wouldn't know what to do with that many minnows. Gonna have to take some time away from those gerrard dollies and rainbow bulls and learn to fish for pickeral.

you out at the Koot right now?
im headed there soon. buddies are saying its hot right now so i'll make the trek. Darn pickerel are running up hard now so its tough to leave. Plus with the bait shortage its impossible to leave till im stocked up.

183 tubs.......back down to fish and trap wednesday.....bahhhhhhh

Not sure when I'm going. Maybe long weekend, maybe the following week, maybe tomorrow...

Let me know when you are going for sure & we'll try through some hair at them if we can coordinate. Water warmed above 40 degrees so it's hair time again.

habour craft?....you got lots if yes.
im trying to get 3-4 boats to run up....there is one really shallow spot but its short if we can get over it we can fish a 40 foot hole just 2 miles up. The old owner who used to give me access sold out and the new owners are never home to ask them

I have a tub of minnows that have been frozen and thawed a couple of times so I thought they would rot. I hate spending money for bait that I have to throw away so this time I decided to borax about 4 dozen of the little baiters. Can you tell me if this will turn fish away? They have preserved well, at least they still resemble minnows and they do not smell bad. thx

i used to borax them but they get alot stiffer than my weak seasalt mixture. I found the eyes would drop the bait alot sooner on the windlass's. i never knew if it was a taste or stiffness issue.
