Default Broker to sell camper for me??

Got a call from a guy from RVsellercanada.com out of Calgary. Says 300$ up front fee (and the only fee) to sell my camper for what I’m asking. Says he should be able to have it gone in a week to 10 days. Anyone out there have experience with this?

When I was selling mine had 2 guys call but both did not ask for fees up front. But maybe if I had went further with them maybe this would have came up.

I did list with a company like this for a boat when I was out on the island for $250 and they said I would get my money back if I sold else where. Well I did sell privately and requested my funds back. This went on for 2-3 months, so I finally had to get Visa to reverse the charges.

Sell it yourself and save the potential issues dealing with these people.

Scam.

Not a lot of info on the web about this website, but at least one other comment on another site (Reddit) that it's a waste of money/scam. More telling is doing a quick search on how popular the site is (more popular would mean more likely to have potential buyers clicking on their site and browsing), and a quick search (using a site called Similarweb) shows that they have had less than 5000 hits total in the last month, which means they don't even track the actual number because it is too small, but several RV dealers break 10 to 20k per month (Allan Dale and Western RV, for example)... in contrast, Autotrader is 107th in Canada with 9.4 million views per month and doesn't cost anything to advertise with.

I'd recommend staying away...

If he can have it gone in 7-10 days, tell him you will sell it to him for $500 less. Easy $500 for him

This almost sounds like ezcarsandtrucks reincarnated. I bet there are some folks here that remember what entertainment that was.

If I were the Camper Owner, and the sales Agreement was in the form of a Bailment, then I as the Camper Owner MIGHT want to register a Security Interest on the Unit with Personal Property Security Registry.

You see, there have been situations where the Camper actually is an asset of the Seller, even though they are not the owner, because of the Consignment Clause.

Then the Bank seizes the company assets and you have to try and say you still own the asset, but of course the Consignment Clause said that the Seller had title to the goods to effect Sale of the Goods.

But then again, I am not the Camper Owner here.

That sounds like a scam. However there not all scams. Couple years ago I had listed a jet boat forsale , No bull rv (spruce grove)called me , said they could sell my boat easily for Full price and I just had to pay them 800 bucks for cleaning and professional photos. And they even figured they could sell it for over my asking. This was legit , I did go to there show room and talk to them.

Scam. Was contacted a few times back when they were only charging $99. I told them if they could sell it that quick then they could buy it from me and resell at whatever price they wanted.
