Default Had to scratch the ice fishing itch!

Well got out today for the first time and was not disappointed.
Caught a few and lost a few too…not use to hook sets in 9 fow and how quick they are at the hole!
7 inches of good ice so I felt safe and toss in clear sunny skies with no wind well that was just perfect.
Took two home for a meal which I had not done in many years so looking forward to supper.

It scratches the itch but it ain’t the big lake

Hooks sets at 70 plus feet are more fun and the battles last a bit longer but it’s still ice fishing

That’s awesome. Good for you guys. I hope the hardwater season treats you and your wife to some excellent adventures. Be safe out there and good luck.

Thanks....being safe is very important but if I might add one more thing is please clean up after yourself....leave the area you fish spotless and if you see garbage on the ice take the 30 seconds and pick it up.

I walked off the ice with lids, fishing line, a pair of blood soaked gloves etc and this lake just froze over a few weeks ago turning it into a landfill is not cool.
