I am not comparing that. I am comparing the idea that we should all spy on our "friends" and RAT them out for unlawful behavior. Let the Law enforcers enforce the Law is all I am saying. The SPY nation that this thread is encouraging is being compared to Nazi Germany YES and why shouldn't it? that was the sentiment of the third Reich correct me if I am wrong (which happens).
And as far as trolling perhaps you should read the OP before you comment on forums you scab, it doesn't say anything about poaching, clown.

uhh...weird, the version I got had "Admitted Poacher" in the title of the OP's thread?......no reason to use derogatory comments either....

Would be interesting to see poll results on this topic.
I'd wager that most people would not report their friends to RAP.

Friends, not aquaintances.

I nip this in the bud early....I don't fish or hunt or associate with people who poach. So this really isn't an issue for me personally. If someone came to me bragging of their exploits and poaching proceeds...chances are they aren't a friend and I would be making a call for sure.

If i had a friend who was poaching and refused to stop on the first reprimand he would no longer be a friend...and ex friends are enemies sooo....ya id report him...

I'd never rat on a friend. Unless it was life threatening to someone else or had to do with children, then I'd tell that person or the cops. I'd definitely rat out a co-worker though.

A friend will help you move, a good friend will help you move ...a body.

A poacher is a poacher and deserves a lifelong case of 3rd degree jock itch.

I agree. I wouldn't rat out a friend. I'd try to convince them not to poach. I might stop fishing with them if they refused to stop. I probably wouldn't feel bad for them if someone else spotted them poaching and turned them in. But I wouldn't turn them in myself.

I understand what Crosbyfan### is saying, I wouldn't tell on my friends either, would go against the term "friend", however I would encourage them to follow the rules or go to a lake that allows bait.

Also, how is it poaching if he doesn't keep the fish? Using bait would be a different offense and illegal but is not poaching.

And I think poaching should be a minimum 2 year prison sentance, but I'm not ratting out my friend for using bait on a river.

Well the message I get from this thread is that if your friends poach........thats OK. Am I wrong?

Report all others though cause they are real poachers.

That's not the message I'm getting. I think most people would not call RAP on their friends. There are other ways to get the message across to friends.

I need to clear something up, report all poachers, reporting a poacher IS different then calling the police on some guy in your neighbourhood.

Would I call RAP? No.
Would I sit there and let people poach? No, I would take matters into my own hands.
Is this the responsible way to deal with it? No, it isn't.
Could I justify it to myself if I were charged? Yes I could.
Should you call RAP if you see people keeping fishing that are not supposed to be kept? Yes, 110% of the time.

Our environment is extremely important and I am 100% supportive of extreme actions to ensure it stays intact and viable.

Environmental rights and animal rights need to no longer be at the middle of the page for political agenda but should be front and center at ALL levels of government.

Well seems as if the poacher from the OP ain't getting the message.

He already has been caught and fined, but continues on his poaching ways.

Now what?
