Exclamation Lac St Anne - caution

Found this while trolling north west shore today. Halfway between the gun boat launch and the narrows. Looked like someone had already hit it at speed. Boaters beware.

Damn, I see it now lol. You should report it to SRD/RCMP or whoever deals with stuff like that. Owner can/should be fined for leaving it there.

Did you mark it with a bouy or something so that no one hits it and takes their bottom end off ? I would have. Hope no one is in it.

Pretty sure it was empty. When we came up on it from the front so both my buddy and myself could see straight into the cab and saw nothing.
We didn't have anything on board to mark the hazard unfortunately but I'm gonna report the find this morning.

Should have pulled out the heavy action gear and hooked up, you would have won the albetra outdoorsman fishing contest for sure.

Did you fish around it to see if there were any lunkers hiding underneath?

Thanks for the heads up. If I knew where it was I'd put a stake through the roof with a warning flag. I'm headed out there Thursday and might be able to mark it before the weekend if you have the coordinates.

So I went into Alberta beach townsite to report the truck and although highly entertained by the pictures, said it wasn't their concern but did give me two numbers to try. Again both those agencies found it amusing but told me they don't have the equipment to get it out of the lake and it wasn't their concern. One of these guys was law enforcement ............. what a joke.

If your heading east out of the narrows on the north shore the truck is about 3/4 of the way past the first row of houses towards the second set of houses. If you look at the shore just past the beaver dam the is a make shift road the truck probably came on the ice from. slightly east of that road about 100ft off shore is where the truck is.
This is the best directions I can give for now - just learning how to use the new fish finder when we came upon it so I didn't get the location marked.

Typical attitude these days, not my problem...

Someone should get the license plate off it. Report it as abandoned to the RCMP...

Maritime salvage? Time to go with a 1 ton, big winch and a lot of cable?

If I landed a Chevy, I'd probably throw it back as well. All kidding aside, I hope they get it out before someone wrecks their boat or hurts them self with it so close to the surface.

In a month I'm betting that the roof of the truck will be on the surface. The lake is still emptying from the Spring thaw.
