.243 Winchester

55 gr. MV=3850fps when zeroed at 200 the drop will be 300 = -4.4, 400 = -13.6 and 500 = -28.9

100 gr. MV=3050fps when zeroed at 200 the drop will be 300 = -6.7, 400 = -20.0 and 500 = -41.1

25-06 Remington

120 gr. MV=2990fps when zeroed at 200 the drop will be 300 = -7.4, 400 = -21.8 and 500 = -45.1

30-06 Springfield

150 gr. MV=2910fps when zeroed at 200 the drop will be 300 =-7.2, 300 =-21.1 and 500 =-42.6

180 gr. MV=2700fps when zeroed at 200 the drop will be 300 =-8.1, 300 =-22.6 and 500 =-46.6

Now this is just a ball park picture on what you might see. I am fairly new to this stuff and am just learning. for a more accurate help you may want to talk to dick284 or catnthehat. Those guys are veterans and really know there stuff.

Hope i was able to help!

Personally,I prefer 100gr bullets in the 25-06.

Using Federal data.

25-06 Rem.

Go to Remington's site, you can compare 3 cartridges side by side.

Just remember those are factory published numbers. It is unlikely any of them will live up to their billing in factory produced rifles.

Winchester also has a similar feature like the one Dick mention on the Remington site, but I have to agree that the Remington one is pretty slick.

Thanks, Here is the reason I ask, I own all of these calibres and have 3 scopes and trying to match them up. Any suggestions:

Mossberg 100ATR 243 currently has 3x9x50 Trophy

H&R 25-06 SB2 ultra single shot break action with elite 3200 5-15x40

Winchester model 70 30-06 with an elite 3200 4x12

do you see any reason to change these around or do them seem fine the way they are set up. I am not a real gun guy more of a point and shoot type.

Again thanks for your help

I would say it depends on what you use each rifle for.

Like if you use the Mossberg 100ATR 243 for shooting small things at long range (coyote and fox) then the elite 3200 4x12 might be better on it.

If the Winchester model 70 30-06 is carried a lot in the bush hunting big game then the 3x9x50 Trophy would work well on it.

If it was me I would mount them like this:

Mossberg 100ATR 243 currently has 3x9x50 Trophy
H&R 25-06 SB2 ultra single shot break action with the elite 3200 4x12
Winchester model 70 30-06 with the elite 3200 5-15x40

The reasoning is that the trophy may not be able to stand up to the recoil of the 30-06.

Likewise, the heavier bullets of 30-06 have superior terminal ballistics at longer ranges and you can use the magnification for the longer shot.
You can also turn down the magnification if in the bush.
