are the elk still rutting?

mrs el sparko is on the mend and we are finally getting ready to hit the bush!
i've never had to put off elk hunting till this late and i was wondering if any of you have had any responses lately.

Bulls are still bugling in Canmore. I can hear them out my window tonight.

I heard bugling all night tonight.

yep they sure are. well bull is not bugling any more. ha ha. lucky me.

I went out yesterday around edgerton and never heard a thing.

Still getting lots of response from the elk. They seemed to be really pi**ed off this weekend. Cold weather got them angry maybe? Had alot off bulls bugling back and forth fri,sat but not much sunday.
