Default White Sturgeon Meat

I was listening to 630ched today and they where interviewing Ryan O’Flynn who had just won "Gold Medal Plates championship" His winning plate was made with farmed white sturgeon.

http://www.edmontonjournal.com/life/...548/story.html

This is the place the supplied him his meat

I think that I might have to order and try some.

Has anyone else tried sturgeon before?

creating demand for a species on the brink is never a good idea imo . Oh well they've survived everything the earth can throw at them sadly they may not survive man

Retention was legal when I lived in B.C. in the early 70's. IIRC they had to be a meter or maybe a yard long.

Any I ate were very good.

Was legal to retain Lake Sturgeon in Ontario until 2008. Pretty sure that's the last jurisdiction in Canada to close wild sturgeon retention.
