Default Moby dick

If you enjoyed the book, I'd recommend "in the heart of the sea".
Excellent film imho.
Great survival story too.
Enjoy

Apparently not everyone agrees.

The original is a Classic, about impossible to upstage. Hollywood is bankrupt for new ideas, not much but remade movies coming out of there.

Most of what I read was favorable for this movie, but it's not about the whale as much as the story behind the aftermath of the encounter with the whale.
Leslie West's "Nantucket Sleigh ride" was written about it as well.

The old film is based on the fictional book. In the Heart of the Sea is based on the true story that inspired the book.

In other words, Moby Dick is a work of fiction, In the Heart of the Sea is a true account of actual events.

On both comments. A different story really.
IMHO a good "pre-quel".
But also agree Hollywood is devoid of fresh ideas generally.

The book In the Heart of the Sea is excellent. Haven't seen the movie yet and probably won't.
