Just filled up in Beaumont at 57.9 but it was at the only station left that wasn't already up $0.20/litre.

It'll be interesting to see if this is strictly a Canadian increase or if it'll affect our US neighbours too. Presently $1.69 US a gallon in Missoula, MT and has been for a while. That works out to about 1.69/4 X 1.4= 59 cents/liter give or take. Let's see what tomorrow brings, but I'm betting it won't be 14 cents US a liter or 64 US cents a gallon increase... Not sure why it wouldn't be, they've been telling us for a year now our gas prices are based on the US refineries... I'm betting it's just our Canadian suppliers...

according to gassbuddy it's only beaumont and the bulk guys have no raises in their 2 day forecast of prices and co-op is steady all week.

so i don't see it jumping like crazy

It was 56 at the airport on Sunday.
Tuscon was $1.45 a gallon last week.
Drove a rental F150 crew from Phoenix to Tuscon and around town for 4 days and couldn't squeeze $20 into the tank.

I actually saw it happen within a 6 minute span.I was going west along 16th ave en route to COP and saw the price was 67.9 and when I came back through the price got jacked up to 79.9....funny though that I did not hear about the price of oil going up $12 a barrel today(a$1 per barrel increase= a penny at the pumps according to MJ Ervin)

Later in the afternoon I did see it at 67.9 in Forest Lawn so I filled up whilst the filling was good.....wish I had a pickup with a tidy tank though.

Actually oil closed below $30/bbl today. No increase in futures price. Gas is now cheaper in Saskatoon and Winnipeg.....

Default Refineries not makeing enough profit

I actually posted this last week that prices were going to go way up. I'm in the fuel business and when I asked my suppliers why the big increase, I was told it was because the refineries were moving gas at a loss the past couple of weeks.

Gas jumped about 15 cents per litre this afternoon in Calgary (after an increase of about 5 or 6 cents per litre in the few days prior to that).
Was 59.9 here about a week or so ago and now is close to 79.9.......

Big Oil is putting their tax back on.

Taking money from Alberta and sending it overseas.

Gas stations near downtown Calgary and South West have jumped up to 79.9, I managed to get 64.9 at Centex on 16th Ave across from North Hills mall. I would honestly not mind if gas prices jumped back up to $1.00 if there was a direct correlation to increased jobs in the Alberta Oil patch. Myself like thousands of other are feeling the economic "pinch" with no job. It looks like I perfectly timed the worst time to graduate from University with a Geology degree.

Came back from Edm on Monday looks like this, not sure why the big spreads. Don't make any sense to me. Few weeks ago when I was down again edm was 74ish and whitecourt was 86.9!

Edm -55.9
Whitecourt -72.9
Fox creek - 79.9
Valleyview - 72.9
GP was 69.9 on tuesday

gas buddy shows no frills in Fort Sask still at 56.9 as 15 minutes ago

In Lloydminster still 69.9 last night, lowest we have seen it, guess it must be at least .13 cents a liter transportation cost ???? can never figure it out but we are always at least .10 cents higher than Edmonton.

Thing is we will still drive just as much as we did yesterday or a year ago when it was 1.10, or at least I do

No price increase yet at Missoula or at Winnipeg or Saskatoon. Alberta, and Edmonton in praticular, now have the highest gas prices in the prairie provinces, at least in major centers. Must be a stick it to Alberta thing brought to us by the companies that just laid off thousands of workers in this province? I guess just because they can.....

Who is getting it in the behind ? Some stations still at 0.57 and some at 0.77

20 cent differance. On 50 L of gas thats $10.00 multiply that by 100,000 vehicals and thats a million bucks ! Say 100,000 fill every day for a week, thats 7 million bucks !

I guess the CEO's gotta get payed at the end of the month.

Buy low people !

I still think that a rolling boycot of 1 of the big players every day would send a powerfull mesage to them that the consumers won't take it anymore.
