anyone have any feedback on the "medalist" line? If you could do it again, would you go a different route?

Or would it be worth it just to go to with a McMillan?

possibly on a Rem700 short action with a heavy varmit barrel. looks like McMillan is a few months to order at best.

Just order one from the US. Way cheaper than buying from ATRS or other locals.

I've ordered 6 of them now. All medalists as well.

I would have a look at wildcat stocks as well. Although they require a little more work than a "drop in" B&C stock I think they are a better stock and they are made in alberta. Yopu can order one direct and have it in a few weeks. Other than that I'd get a Mcmillan, pricey but they are as good as it gets.

You can also broaden your options with HS precision. I believe they were the ones that started mass producing Alum/composite stocks.

The PSV-002 in Rem. 700 SA will work.

Yes. Worth the money and the wait.

If there is a local place (ie. Alberta or even Canada) that's cheaper, I'd be more than happy to order from them in the future.

Joel - I have a wildcat on order for my lightweight rifle I'm currently building. Hope to have the stock sometime next week.

Only issue is that I need a SA ADL stock and they only make a LA ADL stock. Just have to do some reconfiguring of the recoil lug hole and the front action screw.

try this place. I not sure how much they cost in Canada but this is what they go for down here. Bout as cheap as I've found.

A few months ago I purchased a B&C Medalist Remington Varmint/Tactical (adjustable stock) from Alberta Tactical.
They had in in stock.
All I have to compare it to is the factory stock that was on my 700 SPS. (7mm Rem Mag)
I got it to fit me nicely and it worked great last weekend while doing some load development.

Quite often Mcmillan will have one already in stock if you're not fussy on colourings, etc... Check their website under "specials" for in-stock stocks.
